Michigan State University - College of Human Medicine (MSU-CHM)

Graduate Medical Education, Inc. (GMEI) – partnership between McLaren Greater Lansing, Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Sparrow Health System.

Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) – the accreditation body for allopathic training.

Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) – Please click the IHI link to access their Certificate Program.  Courses are 1-2 hours, and are broken into 15-20 minute sessions.

L.I.F.E. Curriculum – (Learning to Address Impairment and Fatigue to Enhance Patient Safety)

LIFE Curriculum is a case-based educational program designed to help educate residents and faculty to prevent, identify, and manage resident fatigue and impairment.

This program educates residents and faculty about the effects of fatigue and other common impairments on performance.  It is designed to identify strategies that may prevent fatigue and impairment; provide an early warning system for impairments, and offer ways to help manage them effectively.

Residents are required to complete the modules on Disc 1, and are encouraged to view the modules on Disc 2.  Program Coordinators will assist residents in this process. A direct link to Disc 1 is:
