L.I.F.E. Curriculum –  A program for Learning to Address Impairment and Fatigue to Enhance Patient Safety

LIFE Curriculum is a case-based educational program designed to help educate residents and faculty to prevent, identify, and manage resident fatigue and impairment.

This program educates residents and faculty about the effects of fatigue and other common impairments on performance.  It is designed to identify strategies that may prevent fatigue and impairment; provide an early warning system for impairments, and offer ways to help manage them effectively.

Residents are encouraged to complete the modules on Disc 1. Disc 2 is also recommended..  Program Coordinators are able to assist residents in this process.  A direct link to Disc 1 is: http://med.stanford.edu/gme/duke_life/
